The mosaic of a Dolphin has been created in our Roman dining room. It is a copy of one from a probable dining room at Lopen villa in the south of Somerset, which was discovered by chance in 2001. You might think the design looks a bit fishy, but you would be wrong, because that’s how they were represented across the Empire, and because dolphins are of course mammals.
