A series of archaeological projects were undertaken as part of the Avalon Marshes Landscape Partnership project, often with financial support from  Historic England. These included community training excavations at Burtle Priory and Beckery Chapel, community test pitting on some of the sand ‘islands’ in the valley and research excavation combined with site management work at Glastonbury Lake Village and the Neolithic Sweet Track.

Digging, recording and pondering over what is actually going on in the site
