Kath is nearing completion of her carving based on designs from the prow of the Oseberg boat burial. It will eventually go on a beam above our replica of the bed from the same site, after colour has been added. Meanwhile in the Roman building the borders have been prepared for the next design, cryptically referred to amongst the tessellarii as the ‘Jester’s hat’.
