Thanks to Draca Beorder re-enactment group for another excellent Viking themed day at Avalon Archaeology. Lots of people came to enjoy themselves experiencing a bit of Norse culture in the morning before the Gods became angry in the afternoon and sent down a deluge. Soon after, the longhall was made ready for an early evening telling of the Beowulf story, while seated on benches around the fire. A great setting for the public to become immersed in the culture of early medieval England.
