3 years work reduced to 6 minutes

For three years the hands on heritage volunteers have devoted Wednesdays to recreating a Roman mosaic floor in our winter dining room reconstruction. It was finally finished this October and is a great testament to the dedication and skill of the team. Between two and four people were normally laying mosaic on a Wednesday (only some of the culprits below), fuelled purely on tea, coffee, biscuits and cake (thank you Martin). All of us were completely unbiased by any prior experience of mosaic work and we seem to have replicated the quality (or lack of it?) standards of the mosaicists working in the area over 1,400 years ago. The project has brought us closer to those people than anything else ever could do. Joe has now put together a 6 minute timelapse video for your delectation and delight. Hope you like it.
