Colour and craft

Caz has very kindly made a display of the wonderful colour range she produced by dyeing wool with three different plants, dried weld for the yellow, greens and browns, madder root for the pinks, reds and purples and woad for the blues. A good insight in to how colourful clothing could have been in the past. In the Roman building the mosaic has crept around the bespoke lead protection for the door pivots but sadly we have discovered that the circular Roman table has been built upside down. If only there was some simple solution.
