The replica of the bed from the Norwegian Oseberg boat burial was given a mattress of linen stuffed with fresh hay and a colourful thick blanket of wool. As the boat burial contained two females, possibly royalty, the bed had to be good enough for a Viking princess. Some pillows will be added shortly to avoid any regal displeasure.
