The white stuff

Although the walls are gradually filling up with wattle and daub, things are brightening up in the Saxon hall through the application of several coats of lime wash in the gable ends. Meanwhile some of the porch carvings have been painted with limewash, ochre pigment and natural caesin glue. Meanwhile secret plans for a mezzanine floor are being hatched. Well it would be a shame not to use those nice long timbers.
