Work progresses on the frescos in the ante-room of the Roman building, with candelabra, fruit, hunters and Christian Chi Rho (XP) imagery. The building is based on 4th century AD evidence – a time when Christianity was gradually replacing the traditional pagan Roman religion. In the main room, gaps in the ceiling have been covered with new boarding – soon to turn blood red! (Shurely red ochre- Ed.)
