Work on the top dressing of the Saxon longhall floor continues, with a recipe of clay subsoil (sieved), sand, lime, hay, milk and eggs (sometimes just the whites if we can be bothered separating them). Eye of newt and wing of bat have had to be omitted due to petty bureaucracy connected with endangered species. Bake at room temperature (just above freezing) for a week, for a yummy finish.
