Borders have quite rightly been in the news this week, as 4m of blue border mosaic was laid in just one short day. That’s about a quarter of what is needed for the room and so quite rightly made the front page of Roman Mosaicist Weekly. Things will no doubt slow down again when we get to the twiddly bits (excuse the technical terminology). A little known fact about Anglo-Saxon illustrations is that landscapes often had toes in them. Play ‘where’s the big toe’ in the landscape mural below. Answers on a £20 note to the usual address.
