The annual battle with autumn kicked off last week with the clearance of leaves from the Walrus (our replica of the Skuldelev 3 Viking cargo ship). Elsewhere the roof of the Welcome Hut was finished, work began on the other two legs of the Roman table, more mural was painted and the mosaic floor crept relentlessly onwards.
