First Beowulf reading

At the weekend we had the first telling of the tale of Beowulf in the longhall. The audience was the MAYAN young archaeologist group who also had an art trail challenge and a tour of the site discussing what evidence survives for archaeologists. Good fun and great storytelling.

  1. Tremendous – what a most perfect educational experience engaging the senses – can almost smell the smoke from the office here and feel the cold along with the evocation from the sunlight and carvings – reckon the students will have gone home inspired…….most marvellous….

  2. That looks like great fun and I suspect that they all had a good time. Excellent photographs, especially with the sun’s rays shining into the long hall. Good to see that they cleaned the mosaic!
