Last weekend a hoard of pagan Vikings took over the Saxon longhall. And lo there was thunder in the heavens and the sky wept a deluge of tears. Fortunately everyone got on peaceably and there was no fighting. The Vikings showed off their culinary and camping skills while the Saxon builders got on with some carving, helped by passing child labour. Eventually the open day ended and the Vikings departed without demanding danegeld.
