A slightly calmer week of work saw good progress on the top table for the Saxon longhall and its trestle supports. Its deliberately narrow so that it can be easily moved and stored.
The local swallows appear to be favouring the Saxon longhall again this year, which is poetic but messy in places.
Diana, godess of the hunt, is looking good and another Roman fake stone effect adds to the 1970’s feel of the Roman building. Perhaps a lava lamp in the corner as a Pompeii reference?
