Summer meltdown

In the second week since returning from lockdown, seering temperatures made life difficult but lots was achieved. A Saxon tent, hundreds of tesserae, fixing the antefixes, carvings, weed destruction and oiling longboats. Sadly several volunteers, some chocolate rolls and a packet chocolate malted milk all melted in the heat. The biscuits and rolls were transferred to a refrigerated recovery area and are thought now to be stable and out of danger. By the end of the day all the volunteers had unfortunately completely melted away. Only the 3rd brood of swallows in the longhall remained on duty.
