Striding forwards to sunlit uplands

A great week, begun with a rainy morning collecting coppiced hazel at Ebbor for the roundhouse. Thanks to those who braved the elements and to Phil of Natural England for making it happen. Panel 3 of the Saxon mural was completed by Dave – ‘Alfred with a small troop built a fortification at Athelney‘, in case you were wondering. Another 1,000 tesserae went down, with the outer blue border complete and the b/w border and guilloche slowly expanding. Elsewhere the storage area was finally cleared, and carving progressed on the ends of the Viking bed.
