Vikings, peasants, wattle and guilloche

Between the site tours, work continues by the volunteers every week, adding more details to the site. Vikings and peasants have arrived on the mural in the longhall, fresh wattlework is going on around the roundhouse and the mosaic advances across the floor of the Roman dining room. A visiting group had their first taste of wood carving and enjoyed beginning work on the replica of some of the carvings from the prow of the Oseberg ship. You never know what you can do until you try.
