Work on the mosaic is going well with the guilloche border completed and miraculously the coloured strands matching up perfectly. Meanwhile, in the overlapping squares, a wave design is being created, based on a mosaic from Keynsham. The original is encouragingly random with lots of variation in the wave sizes if you look at it closely, suggesting that they didn’t bother to work out spacings beforehand. A ‘Friday afternoon’ mosaic perhaps?
